TOMOarchitects it’s a multidisciplinary workshop for architecture, design and installations opened in Milan in 2011, that involve a team of young professionals passionate about contemporary, functional, sustainable and highly detailed design.

Tommaso Fantoni, founder of the studio, is an architect and designer graduated at Politecnico di Milano in 2000, after Erasmus experiences at ETSAB Barcelona and Politecnique Superieure Paris la Seine.

Before opening TOMO, he practiced for over a decade at Foster + Partners in London and New York, working closely with Norman Foster on major international projects, including the London City Hall, GLA, residential buildings in St. Moritz and Edinburg, the new Tower 2 at Ground Zero, the Sperone Westwater Gallery in New York, and Foster’s private residence.

Today TOMOarchitects become TOMOprojects, and develops architecture and interiors for private, cultural, commercial clients and institutions. Among its works are the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro in Milan and the sculptural tree house “Garden’s Jewel” with Loris Cecchini for Galleria Continua in Grenoble. The studio has also presented product designs at the Design Week, such as the S15 modular shelving system and the L12 tubular lamp.

Alongside the practice, Tommaso explores small-format painted architectural landscapes, currently exhibited with Nilufar Gallery, and exposed at various Design Week in Milan and NOMAD St. Moritz, which reflect the same curiosity for space, light, and composition that guides his architectural work.
