TOMOprojects is a multidisciplinary workshop for architecture, design and installations opened in Milan in 2011. For the 15th anniversary in 2026, the studio evolved from TOMOarchitects to TOMOprojects, a change designed to better reflect the broad scope of its research. The team is passionate about creating contemporary, functional, sustainable, and highly-detailed design.

Tommaso Fantoni, founder of the studio, is an architect and designer graduated at Politecnico di Milano in 2000, after Erasmus experiences at ETSAB Barcelona and Politecnique Superieure Paris la Seine. Prior to TOMOprojects, Fantoni practiced for over a decade at Foster + Partners in London and New York, in close collaboration with Norman Foster on major international projects, including the London City Hall, GLA, residential buildings in St. Moritz and Edinburgh, the new Tower 2 at Ground Zero, the Sperone Westwater Gallery in New York, and Foster’s private residence in NYC.

Today,  TOMOprojects develops architecture and interior design for private, cultural, and commercial clients, as well as institutions. Among the cultural works are the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro in Milan, the Osvaldo Borsani retrospective exhibition at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, curated with Norman Forster and the Norman Foster Foundation, the sculptural tree house “Garden’s Jewel” with Loris Cecchini for Galleria Continua in Grenoble.

Among the main residential completed projects, we find a highly detailed interiors for a private chalet in St. Moritz, a number of high-end architectural interiors in Milan, as Pasubio and Vico. The studio has also presented product designs in various Milan Design Weeks, such as the S15 modular shelving system and the L12 tubular light.

Alongside the practice, Tommaso constantly explores small-format painted landscapes, the ongoing series “Colourscapes”, that reflects the same curiosity for space, light, color and composition that guides his architectural work. Currently represented by Nilufar Gallery, he was exhibited in various Design Weeks in Milan and NOMAD St. Moritz
